[1] Blythburgh is a village and civil parish in the East Suffolk district of the English county of Suffolk.

[2] Broadway is a large village and civil parish within the Cotswolds, located in the county of Worcestershire. Victorian artists (including John Singer Sargent) and writers were drawn to the village’s calm and the famous Arts and Crafts movement made its home in the area.

[3] Titus Livius (64 BC – AD 17) simply rendered as Livy in English – was a Roman historian. He wrote a monumental history of Rome and the Roman people – Ab Urbe Condita Libri.

[4] Sandbanks is a small peninsula or spit crossing the mouth of Poole Harbour on the English Channel coast at Poole in Dorset, England.

[5] (possibly) The Pirate, by Sir Walter Scott, published in 1822.

[6] Pride and Prejudice is an 1813 romantic novel of manners written by Jane Austen.

[7] Mansfield Park is the third published novel by Jane Austen, first published in 1814.
