[2] Monarch – Paddle Steamer – operating between Bournemouth to Swanage

[3] The Tilly Whim caves are old quarries of the Napoleonic War at the most easterly quarry in a stretch of quarries that exist along cliffs of the southern Purbeck ridge.

[4] Tableaux – a group of models or motionless figures representing a scene from a story or from history; a tableau vivant.

[5] Possibly Theatre Royal, in Albert Road, Bournemouth

[6] Could be Pembroke Hotel – Bournemouth’s first commercial hotel. A sizeable Italianate hotel, circa 1850, 3 storeys.
